My Experience & Achievements
Summary of my clinical experience since 2008:
I am a Paediatric Dietitian specialised in Eating disorders including Avoidant restricted food intake disorder (ARFID). I am currently working for NHS CAMHS eating disorder service, ARFID pathway in Leicestershire. My experience includes dealing with a highly complex caseload of eating disorders in young people with anorexia nervosa, binge eating disorder, bulimia nervosa and ARFID (Avoidance Restricted Food Intake Disorder) cases. I am experienced in dietary management of children with Autism, ADHD, ARFID, PICA, nutritional deficiencies, restricted eating, reflux, allergies, faltering growth, feeding difficulties and bowel issues. Additionally from my community job I have experience in home enteral feeding of children with artificial tubes due to complex medical needs, defect of heart health, poor mobility, feeding issues, reflux, dependent on ventilation, swallowing difficulties, malabsorption etc.
In my adult dietetic experience I worked on the stroke unit and rehab unit focusing on tube feeding and managing malnutrition, prevention of stroke and cardio vascular risks. I have advised adults on diabetes and weight management, gastro conditions such as IBS, Crohns and Colitis, Coeliac disease, cancer care, heart health, pulmonary health, nutrition support for malnutrition and bone health.
